We have immediate openings for the following positions for the 2018 season.

  • Full time prep & line cooks
  • Part time & full time line cooks
  • We are looking for a Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers.

We are looking for a seasoned individual with a strong ability to manage daily back of house restaurant operations in beautiful Boothbay Harbor, Maine

Responsibilities include supervising the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage the kitchen staff and guide them to deliver exceptional quality food on time. Also, you should be familiar with sanitation regulations.

Ultimately, you will ensure all plates are properly cooked, served and our customers have a fantastic dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
  • Supervise food prep and cooking
  • Establish portion sizes
  • Schedule kitchen staff shifts
  • Control inventory
  • Order, receive and rotate all orders
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  • Store food products in compliance with safety practices.
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • Work seamlessly and ¬†commutate with support and FOH staff

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager
  • Hands-on experience on the line and with planning menus and ordering ingredients
  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Conflict management abilities
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
  • Flexibility to work morning, evenings and weekends
